Yesterday, our passionate junior ambassadors joined Billie, our education program manager at the SolarBuddy HQ to discuss their plans for the New Year.
The girls enthusiastically came prepared with their plans for community engagement and their goals for 2020. Each one of them will be leading the collaboration with our younger audience to engage them on the issue of energy poverty.
Skye Butcher has been working with SolarBuddy for a few years. She has managed to raise thousands of dollars for SolarBuddy by assisting us with our education programs. Her mission for this year is to work with the school she currently goes to, to run a new school program and to engage with other schools and inform them about SolarBuddy.
Alysha has been working with the Student Council at her college promoting SolarBuddy and running sessions with younger students to educate them about energy poverty. Her goal for this year is to engage with businesses while running her first fundraising event for SolarBuddy.
Ruby has been involved with SolarBuddy since December. She played a key role at Woodford Folk Festival where she engaged with event attendees about the issue of energy poverty. Her goal for this year is to be more involved with SolarBuddy while getting her school involved in our education programs.
Lois is our new junior ambassador. She has been passionate about our mission and is going to be working this year on engaging her college and more schools with our mission and our programs.
The SolarBuddy team is super excited to have them on board and we're keen to see the work they do this year!
